new civic owner

After several years of wanting I finally own a civic. I have (the car of my dreams) a 2000 Civic EX coupe. It's black with tinted windows, and an automatic trans (I wanted a manual). I plan on doing work to the interior/exterior and the engine, but I've never done anything like this before so any ideas or advice to get started would be great.
