New civic owner from the home of the CONFEDERACARRR!
Hi, new Civic owner here in Richmond. I used to have a 2003 Sebring coupe but sold it to get a 1999 EX civic. I did this to save money and because my commute recently went from 1 mile to 20 miles each way. Hopefully I won't regret this decision. I had to take a train all the way up to New Jersy and drive the Civic back to Virginia because it was a PITA to find a 97-00 civic for ~$8000, especially an EX.
So far I'm a little dissappointed in the Civic compared to my v6 5-speed sebring, both on performance and comfort, but the auto is so much easier in traffic. It is nice having a beater car like I did back in college though, as opposed to a nicer car that I was worried about putting a lot of miles or wear on. Also the extra money from car payments and gas is nice.
