new guy 02 civic si
Hi everyone, i just traded in a jeep wrangler sport on a 02 civic si with intake, racing seats, lower suspension, exhaust, custom paint etc...its a big change but i need the gas mileage. I plan on doing a lot to the car. The car is great overall but right off the bat if someone knows why the steering when turning real sharp sounds like a spring slipping or catching. Possible that the lower suspension is creating a weird angle on the axle, control arms, or some part that would create that? any help would be great.
my plans - all new sound system, and greddy turbo kit by the end of 2008.

sounds like great plans and possibly a nice car..make sure to post some pictures. and the spring thing could be anything, i suggest taking it apart, making sure its together correctly, going under the hood, making sure strut bolts are tightend enough.
thanks for the suggestion...one thing that might help diagnose this is...when i do turn sharp and hear that sound if i dont turn sharp back the other way it tends to stick and feels like the car is out of alignment...although its not out of alignmentcause once i counter steer, it drives perfect...i only hear this at very low speeds. 10mph or lower while turning sharp.
