Just got a 95 lx over the weekend and wanted to come and join the fun. Maybe steal some knowledge. Let me know what you guys and girls think. I just ordered amber corners and 50/50 tails. I wanna get I/H/E but dont know whats good and where to get it. Any help and advise is helpful.

welcome to HCF, what are those 50/50 tails your talking about? got the basic I/H/E upgrades check out the header, intake, exhaust section and read the stickies. I personally like apexi ws2 exhust, and the DC sports or megan header, and aem or injen intakes

 

By 50/50 I mean the red/white tail lights. Im thinking of getting megan headers too. Whats the best place to get the exhaust and stuff. Should i just go on ebay or are there other sites?

Dont know if I should get the aem sri or the cheap ebay ones and cheange the filter. Does it really make such a big difference in the tubes?

 

no difference in tubing. you can get the ebay ones and change the filter to a quality filter like injen, aem , k&n. except brands like AEM is carb legal. so if your state in strict with emission standards then better off to get AEM SRI that is CARB legal in 50 states i believe

 

Im not sure if NY is strict with emission standards. Where can i find out?

 

your should be ok. anywhere but california. california has strict modding laws out of all 50 states. Just get the ebay SRI and add a quality filter. Doubt many cops would ask you to pop your hood or that you will fail the emissions test.

 

I checked ebay and the aem filter was around 60 bucks shipped. Plus the tube which is another 20. AEM on ebay sells it for 100 bucks with free shipping. Guess Ill just buy the whole aem intake instead
