hey everyone i just joined not very long ago. I have a 97 Civic HX...not to much done to it yet, i just got it about a month and a half ago. So far all i have done to it is : Dual Halo projector headlights, 17" ADR Spade rims w/ Falken tires , and a blue neon underkit.

The next thing im goin to do is an exhuast

Well, its my first car so i dont have much to compare it to lol, but yeh I really like it It rides a bit rougher now with the new wheels/tires, but handles a bit better Ive noticed. I wanna do some stuff to the engine not sure what all tho. I cant really explain it lol, like, i dont wanna spend a fortune on doin all kinds of stuff to it making it this really super fast rice burner..i mean, i dont have the money for that, ya know? lol..but i do want it to be moderatly fast...enough to pack a little punch know what i mean?...i just dont wanna spend a few grand on engine swaps and such[&:]

Hey I also have a 97 HX, first thing I would get is a cold air intake, the HX/EX uses the same intake, and you can get a generic one off Ebay for $40.00 shipped, then of course the exhaust should be next, then possibly headers (but that requires complete removal of the cat), the bad thing about these vtec civics is that they run on 12 valves until the vtec kicks in @ 3,000 rpm's, plus the tranny is geared high, so quick take-off's isn't an option. My civic is built for all mid to high-range, and once it hits 4,000 rpm's it really get on it! But then next thing I'll do is get an ex tranny. that'll help with quicker take-offs. You can get one on Ebay for $200-$300 bucks. Of course I'll eventually get a swap, but this is a much cheaper way to go for now
