Original owner of a 97 HX with 240,000 miles with original motor. Still getting around 36 to 40 mpg. Just trying to hit the 300,000 miles mark. As you can tell, its my commuter car. I used to drive a lot on my last job. At 240,000 miles, I probably changed the oil around 70 to 80 times - I lost count after the first year. One clutch at 220,000 miles, I replaced the transmission at the same time because it was making noises but it was working fine. I didn't want to pull the trans out again in the near future. I think I changed the front disc brake pads around 4 or 5 times and none for the rears. The body and interior is in excellant shape except for a scuff on the front bumper and my gravel speckled windshield. Oh well, I think I'm due for another oil changed.

 

Welcome, Wow, lots of miles, I was in the same boat as you , Used to work for ADT selling home security, put about 120K miles on my 1990 civic within 2 years.
