hey what up
i'm new to this forum and i would need couple information because i'm buying a civic but i don't know which one and couple of questions like this.
i'm from france but i have lived in denver colorado for the past 5 years and i'm 17 years old i have been working in a school and now that i have money i want to do MY car.

now i want to spend $5000 in a car that i'm sure will run great...
i have found a honda civic hathback 95 EX with V-TEC engine 5 speed with 63000 miles at $4900

now does the V-TEC engine is really something else than the CX? because i tried one yesterday (CX) their were no power at all

thanks you for help me

the cx is crap. unless you plan on doing a motor swap, stay away from it. the ex is great, and that sounds like a decent deal, i say try to offer less, but go for it. also, i think there is a typo, the 95 ex wasnt offered in a hatchback, only a coupe and sedan, if youre talking about an si hatch, then all the better.

if i buy the 95 honda civic with the V-TEC engine 5speed i'm going to drop it down but on the engine what would be good for the beginning?... no purpose to putt headers if i putt turbocharger in couple of month...

right now i'm gonna have $1000 right when i get the car i want to do the engine and the suspention and brake before body

i don't like fanzy body kit if you can't back it up with the rest of the car

yeah, the ex or si motor is about 125 hp, it will be a beast with a small turbo setup, so id do the suspension and brakes up, no-holds-barred, then drop in a turbo or b-series motor.
