Hey everyone. Been lurking for a little bit. I own a 04 WRX STi (398whp) and a 2004 SRT4 (recently purchased with 10.5k miles on it) My daily driver is a 1999 Honda Civic DX coupe, after much thinking I was going to sell it, i have decided to keep it. The car has done too much good for me to just throw it away. No problems at all 107k miles on it. I know it has the D16, but thats about as much I know about the car. Would it be worth it to build this thing up? How much hp could I get out of this motor and it still be reliable and for how much cash?

Thinking about a B, but figure Id ask you guys what the D is capable of, as I dont know much about it at all. Thanks for the help!! heres a pic

Nick

Rock the D!

Hey, welcome to HCF. Obviously you know about intake, header, and exhaust, but the first thing I would do is the Mini-me. It's putting a vtec head on your non vtec block and effectively bolting on another 20-25Hp.

That's a nice little kick without comprimising reliability or putting too big a dent in the wallet.

nah, you need the ecu also. Check out the "mini-me" write up in the DIY section. Its pretty comprehensive. You can do it for $400 or less all inclusive. Theoretically.

Thanks for the replies guys, hopefully this summer things go well and ill be able to get an extra 50-60 horses out of the car. I want the best set up, so it will still be reliable to drive everyday, but fun at the same time
