Hey HCF members, well my names Will and I bought my first car back in may. It's a '98 hatchback dx 5 speed. I haven't done anything to it yet except for install a sunpro tach because the car came without a tach which in my opinon is stupid, but what are ya gunna do. Well I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice in which direction to go with my car. I definitely not into the whole ricer thing, I just want a clean looking, good performing car, that doesn't empty me of cash..seeing how I'm 17 and in high school. Well I guess that's about it.

If you want to see my car there's a link in my signature.

Hey bud welcome feel free to ask any questions you may have. Im as well only 18 and short on the cash and a quick easy way for the DX is a short ram intake and exhaust(no coffee can).

Hope you enjoy your posting here everyone around here is knowledgeable and can practically solve any Honda problem.

There will be no fart can going on my car haha. I actually bought one off a friend and was going to put it on but realized how pointless and annoying sounding they are. Any suggestions on the short ram intake?

I went with a K&N for reliability, won't give you anything you can feel, but its a simple must for a Civic. And for the exhaust I put a magnaflow on and sounds amazing.

Agree'd lol Short shifter is pretty cheap and it makes a hell of a difference in how your shifting feels, and If you get an intake go AEM, it looks better :P and intake is definately not a "must" but it is the simplest of engine mods....

Apexi WS2 FTW if your going to upgrade exhaust

O YEAH

Apexi World Sport 2 Exhaust
Good Short Throw
Also IMO, I don't like short ram intakes. Either go true cold air or nothing at all. Looks much cleaner.

FTW
