I just changed oil in my 95 civic ex and noticed that the old oil filter seemed unused and no oil drained out. Any ideas? Thanks

was it yours or did you just buy it cause if you just bought it and it had no oil you should put some in it or it might have leaked it out check the motor for oil leaks

Not all the oil drains back. You should be able to see oil just by glancing at the filter. If you turn it upside down, some should come out. Hell, whenever I do my changes, I put a drain pan under it and unscrew the filter from the top because I know some will come out when removing the filter.

I know that's what I expected so I'm thinking there is a serious problem.
