Hi everyone,

New to the forum here. Just wanted to say hello.

My wife and I own a 2008 Honda Civic EXL. However, due to some "family planning" we're looking to upgrade. I came here hoping to post the car for sale as I think we're selling it at an excellent price and thought some of the forum people would be interested but it looks like I need 25 posts first... so here's #1!

I recently got into the autocross scene. I run a 95 Mazda Miata now but have to admit that the early 90's Civic hatches are really inspiring me to consider gutting, framing and modding a '92-95. I'm hoping to pick up some information around here that might lead me to making such a manufacturer change

Regards,
Mike

Welcome to the forums. I'm glad to see you plan on respecting the rules; it's a nice change

Pics of the miata?

And at 2200lbs curb weight fully loaded, I'd say a 5th generation civic (92-95) wouldn't make a bad autocross car at all. I know we have several members here that autocross their 5th gens, and as far as I know, do quite well.

Thanks for the welcome!

Here's a pic of the Miata. It's a '95 base edition that I've been toying around with. No engine mods, I've left that all stock but I do have about $1400 sunk into the suspension setup. Koni coilover, 700/450 lb springs, ISC tophats, RB hollow sway up front and 949 endlinks. It's a very competitive car considering it's only 101 WHP

Haha, thanks!

I'll tell you this, it was an evolving process. One good thing is that I never have to worry about seeing "...that user name is not available..."
