Just want to thank hondacivicforum.com for given the new guys access, you certainly make posters welcome.

Me, Myself, My Ride: I'm currently a resident of Durham, NC, if there are any other posters local to the “Bull City” holler. Recently I totaled my 94 Si hatch(still shedding some tears over that one) by hitting a deer. FYI if someone tells you to hit a deer instead of swerving to miss it they have never hit a BIG DEER before. Anyway, I replaced my 94 Si with a 94 VX that has a JDM LS swap. I really like my VX and it has brought me back into the import scene. So thanks again for having me and I look forward to posting. By the way got parts for that EG or JDM B-Series---Holler.

Here is my first question. I was reading through the list of tips for the newbies and i came across the term "gutted cat". Apparently this is not a good thing. How can i tell if the exhaust on my car has been gutted and what do suggest i do if i have a cat that's been gutted.

a gutted cat really doesnt do anything but maybe add a few extra horsepower and make it impossible to pass emissions. if your that worried about it get a new cat
