Default Oil Cap

Hello. I am a Honda owner. I have civic ex 2002.I took my car forsome regular maintenance to the dealer about 2-3 months ago. Just recently I popped the hood and saw some oil scattered on top of the motor. I checked to make sure that the oil cap was tightly onbut was surprised whenit came off in my hand . The capwas broken in half. I took it back to the thedealer andthe serviceguy there saidthat hehad seen this type of occurrence before. He really tried to give me the brush off, making it seemlike Ihad overtightened the cap causing the break. However, that aside, is it common for oil caps to break apart on Hondas? Appreciate your response.

welll if ya had the oil changed thier i would take it back and demand to talk to manager.... sounds like some serious BS!

tell them you want a new oil cap and a nother oil change cause no clue how long its been unsealed so ya dont know how much dirt and water could have gotten into the motor.....
i would pitch a fit!!!!!!

people that complain may sound mean..... BUT they get alot more than the guy that just shuts up and takes it in the butt......
