Second owner of 2008 LX sedan
Yesterday I bought a completely stock 2008 Civic LX automatic sedan in Atomic Blue Metallic from the son of the original owner (she's 87 years old and no longer drives). It had exactly 62,033 miles and no known mechanical flaws, but South Central PA weather has taken its toll on the paint and rubber trim. Thankfully, there doesn't appear to be any rust - just large patches of missing clear coat. It sat, unmoved, for about a year before he prepped it for sale - prepping meaning pump up the tires and charge the battery. The radio needed the code (which I retrieved online), and unfortunately I got NO receipts/paperwork/manuals/etc. - just the car.
I was going to ask about timing belt replacement, but just learned that it's a timing chain. That's a relief, as I don't currently have a place to do major auto repairs.
Any other common problems on these cars besides cosmetics that I should look out for, especially since it has been sitting outside a long time?
