Short time reader, new wonderer?
I have been reading on the forum for a while. My mom blew the head on her '95 civic DX and gave me the car. This is my first Honda that I have owned or worked on so it is a little different than what Iam used to. I have the head pulled and got it re-surfaced. Reading the forum I found that it is a good idea to change the timing belt and water pump when the car has a lot of miles on it, and this one does (151 K). Right now I am stuck on the crankshaft pulley bolt. I can't get that stupid thing off. I know this sounds really stupid, but which way is the correct way to spin the ratchet to loosen it? I would assume counter clockwise, but it does nothing when I try. Any idea would be appreciated. Right now it is soaking under a healthy dose of PB Blaster. Thanks for all the great info on the site.
