hey everyone. i dont own a civic right now. i drive and 03 evo VIII. its wicked and everything but i dont want to mod a 25000 car and mess it up. so im gonna sell it and get a civic. im just wondering where to start what are the best years to mod? what mods yield the most gain? you know the usual newbee questions

welcome to the forum!..i would go with a 99-00 civic, alot of modding options..very fun

 

i dunno if i wanna spend more than 10000 on anything i plan on heavy modding the evo has stayed stock cause i had a 00 lightning before that i put 4000 in mods into. long story short motor blew up and i ate over 17000 on the thing. im thinking 5-8000 on the car and 3-4000 in mods

 

IMHO there isn't anything more beautiful than a 92-95 hatchback. You can pick that up for $2000 and have $10,000 left for the fun bits. [sm=drooldude.gif]

 

Don't sell the Evo, it is prolly a lot more fun to drive. Get an EG civic (92-95). These cars are good because you could pretty much do anything you want to them without worrying about emissions. If you get a 99-00, your options may be limited do to emisions. Although they do look pretty good. And welcome.

 

Want to really have fun with the evo and keep it reliable? Bigger rear sway bar, brake pads, clutch, and save the rest for tires. Start hitting every single track day you can and learn from the better drivers and you will never regret it.
