Okay, I own a 91 civic EX with auto. I have been having problems with the tranny.
It will shutter the entire front end, half way thruogh first gear,but after that it's fine.
I've been told to check my linkage and CV joints. I did this and everything was fine.
I was then told to switch out the tranny, so I did , same problem occurs.

Right now it has a new transmission, solenoid, and axles. I don't want to throw that all
away just to swap a manual, plus I don't have the money to swap a manual. So if anyone
can give me a hint to what might be wrong it would be greatly appreciated.

HI. Did you swap the torque converter too or just the transmision itself. if not your torque converter could be slightly out of balance causing the shudder. hope that helps.
