Default Whats goin on people?

Hey there...this is my second post and thought Id say hey..

I bought a 93 EX that was "owned by a mechanic". Riiiight... I bought it and it was a POS. After all Ive done I feel like Ive nursed a sick kid back to health!

red 1993 civic ex

I replaced the following when I bought it:
rear main seal
dizzy
dizzy seal
driveaxles
driveaxle seals
oil pan/gasket
shift **** (there wasnt one)
plugs, rotor, wires, dizzy cap, tranny oil, oil change w/mobil1 synthetic
thermo switch was re-wired
new thermostat
new coolant temp sensor
new pads and shoes
master cylinder
rear drums
front calipers

Performance mods I've done:

Pro port and polished head
skunk2 cam
skunk2 valve springs
titanium retainers
honda OEM 3 layer headgasket
99 civic si wheels
4-1 headers
cai
exhaust

Body fixes:

There was rust and hail damage all over the thing (Ill post pics later)...
I ended up repairing all the dents (about freakin 40 of 'em)
cut out the rust on the drivers fender and repaired that.

I prepped the car for paint and am debating on whether or not to paint it myself.

-new BMW M3 side view mirrors

Sound system/Interior:

I used to do custom installations and I had a bunch of Sony stuff laying around so thats whats going in it. (I think sony is very underrated personally.)

One 10" sub in a customfiberglass box
new sony 3 way speakers in the rear deck
new comps in the front
2 sony amps (4 ch. and sub amp)

I want to get red racing seats...just waiting on the funds. So stock for now.

FUTURE UPGRADES!

-Underdrive pulleys
-AEM fuel rail
-fabricated fuel pressure regulator
-Y8 intake manifold
-new vaccuum hoses all around
-halo projectors
-new radiator. not exciting but it's about due.
-P28 chipped and dyno tuned by Batleground in Atlanta
-paint the spare valve cover I have laying around.
-short throw shifter
-Im sure theres more but I can't think anymore.

Ill post pics later. Good to meet ya!

picture ****** i know i know...Ive gotta get my camera hooked up. Im at work right now so no pics...

Hail damage - I let the car sit in the sun on a very hot day this summer and a few of the bigger ones popped out. The ones that didnt I took a blow dryer to andn that worked on some. Mind you the car was sitting in the sun as well. Some I took a rubber mallet and popped them lighty from the back. Now keep in mind that I didnt care if the paint chipped because I was planning on stripping the paint and prepping the car for paint anyway. If you pop them with a hammer from the back your paint will most likely chip. fair warning

The stubborn ones I used bondo to fill in and then sanded using 120, all the way up to 320 grit sandpaper.

After making sure they FELT right (body repair is about how it feels!) I did 4 coats of primer. First coat light, second light coat and then 2 progressively heavier coats.

If you are reparing one dent you can just mask off any sections you dont want to prime. I was priming the hwole car so I did all the body work and then primed the hwole car obviously.

Im thinking of writing a DIY on it, but Im sure there already is one and I dont have any pics of the car yet.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures please. Welcome to the Forum and the work sounds pretty good and I can't wait to see the finished product. We do a full DIY section so feel free to post away in there and ask any questions you may have. Enjoy.

haha...I dont know what kind of power Im making yet. I havent dynoed it. ve got to do some valve adjusting and a couple more add ons and then Ill find out. Probably 125-130 to the wheels sounds reasonable give or take 5 or so horses? Its got a lot of head work done to it. I can stomp it and I feel like Im driving my v6 camaro - its definitely got some get up and go.

I figure that is a good HP estimate considering some guys on d-series.org with similar mods and P29 pistons and a tune are making around 145-160 WHP.

Im still debating on the halos because Im trying to stay away from the ricer look as much as possible. I just happen to like the look of them. We'll see. No body kits or altezzas or any of that crap for me though. I came from muscle car land - so the ricer thing definitely 'aint my style if ya know what I mean...
