Hi, my name is Mike and I am new to these parts. I don't have a civic yet but, I am trading in my eclipse and I am getting one. I have a question for everyone, what year and trim level is the "best" to build up into a V8 killing street racer? I know the aftermarket for civics is huge and just about any of them can be tuned pretty well but is there one that is more sought after than others? I know the 99 Si is pretty sweet and would be perfect for me since I need something with four doors for the family, but is there any jewels in the rough with a nice Vtech under the hood that I should be looking out for? Four doors is my only need to have as far as creature comforts. Thanks in advance for all the help.

 

The si are cool civic version.I have a 92 civic sedan dx with 4-doors.It only has the d15b7 non-vtec.the Fifth generation 92-95 has the ex,si with the d16z6 vtec which is my fav Honda motor it can be built up quite nicely or turboed.For honda engine performance this you site.Welcome to the forum.
