whats so wrong with auto ? what are the down sides of having an automatic?

 

Nothing "wrong" with an automatic, it's just that most people prefer a manual tranny because you get a bit more power to the wheels, you have more control over the tranny, and a manual is more fun to drive.

An automatic tranny sucks a bit of power from the engine, but is a lot easier to drive in city type of stop and go traffic, or if you wanna play around with your girl while driving.

 

^^ what he said, if you live in the city or go there a lot, you should prolly look into an auto. otherwise, manual all the way

 

the funny thing with me is that I like autos, but I get bored.
but when I have a manual, I get tired of driving it.
LOL, I'm just never satisfied.
Whenever I get the money, I'll just have an auto and a manual.
Then I can switch back and forth.

 

i had a dx motor in my civic with a manual and i beat a ex auto by a couple of cars had the same mods too

 

i remember on this one show that i was watching this guy had a really nice civic or rsx or somthing like that and it was auto, and when the interviewer ask why a auto, he sead that some of the fastist cars are auto and he can build it up to his prefrences ..i wouldent mind haveing a auto for traffic, but i love the manual..so much fun

I have an AWD auto...which is a friggin tank in snow...today was its first moment of glory on ice...and it didn't get stuck anywhere. And my second one is a manual...which is my civic...soon to get an LSD, a stage 1 clutch added to the current mods

 

You need a "Tiptronic" tranny. You can use it as an auto, or shift it manually.
