Default Yet another newbie!!!

Hi,

I'm mike 19, and from England.

I have come here to seek your advice on the following issues;

1. I have been wanting to get a Honda Civic in either Coupe form (1992ish) or 1.8vti form (1998ish).
Do you know if you can get the older type civic coupe in vti form?

2. Do you know of any uk cicivc forums, as I can appreciate as a us board, you may have different models.

Thanks in advance.

Hi again lads,

thanks for the advice- those forums are perfect (as is this one!).

I have now purchased my Honda as the gearbox on my peugeot (aka unreliable piece of ****) broke!

I think I got quite a bargain really, and i'm increadibly pleased! Addicted to vtec already [:-]!

The car itself is a 1994 Honda Civic Esi 1.6 122bhp sohc vtec. Didn't think it would be as fast as it is!! It has 12 months mot too! Power steering, abs, imobiliser etc... and all for £925!!!!!

I brought it knowing the problems below;

tiny bit of surface rust on arch (will take better pic tomorrow)
gear (occasionly) crunches going into 3rd... I believe this is the syncro mesh? My brother told me that replacing the transmission fluid would cure this (he had the same on a 1.6 vti import, a common problem apparently?).

If anyone could provide any guidance on how to best rectify the above problems, I would be most grateful. I plan a full service for her this weekend

Many thnaks,

Mike.
