Basically you could run 40-50 shot of WET nos and keep it a daily driver and still last a LONG time. You wont need any other modifications other than what comes in the wet nos kit, you should run 2 steps colder spark plugs. No you don't need to change any internals and it should move air well with the newer exhaust and header you have. Run it wisely never hit the nos below 3,000 RPM and never hold above 500RPM prior to redline. If your not that comfortable running the nos with a button trigger use a micro switch to enable nos based on your throttle possition sensor (safest way to blow motor). Your motor will handle it nicely. Use it ONLY when needed, and be nice with it, no slamming gears while on the button, you'll blow thru your stock clutch quickly. It will haul *** I can say that much. Anything over 50-60shot your going to need to change the timing a bit to keep from detonation.

Have it professionally installed if you don't know what your doing, one mistake could cost you a motor. And those new i-vtec motors with the return fuel system can be confusing to a newb in the NOS department.

Good Luck and have fun...
p.s. I love my NOS. 50 shot dry nos on D15b ***** motor, and I keep up with the turbo D16 boys all day, while my bottles full with absolutely NO MODS....

Please stop to referring nitrous as nos, other than that good post. I think that a tps switch and window switch would be better than a buttonor microswitch. Some kits say that you should retard timing even with a small shots so read the instructions that come with it first, when in doubt just retard it 2* anyway, your not going to hurt anything by doing so.

NitrousOxideSystem... sorry. and yeah retarding it a few degrees is a safe way to play.

and if I cant use shorter lingo for the system than dont use TPS, and microswitch and tps switch is the same thing. [8D]

NOS is a company, yes it stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems but still talking about the company, not a nitrous system in general. TPS and microswitches aren't the same thing either.

Micro switch:

i was thinking about adding it wihtin the next few months. after winter. i just wanted to get up some ideas so i could figure a cost. why should i not add it? i'd probably play it safe with a 30-40 shot. and i would probably add the window switch so it kicks on at like 5500rpm and shuts off around 7800. i am getting the hondata tune so redline is 8900, and VTEC kicks at about 4500. let me know what you think about that setup there and if thats logical. i deff dont wanna blow my motor, and if the clutch messes, i'll get a ACT clutch and flywheel.

thank you all for your help so far, i deff have gotten a better understanding on this situation. i dont know too much about nitrous so this is very helpful, on top of my ongoing research.

any particular brands i should be looking into? as well as setups you recommend? links??? thanks all

Why would it get expensive fast? Because ofrefilling the bottle? $30-50 a refill so as long as you don't use it much then it isn't going to catch up to you for a long time. If you are going to use it like every week or something then you would be better suited with a turbo. btw to the op, you do know that nitrous will void your warrenty correct?

basically any mods void warranty... thats why we started with a honda boys!

And zex's TPS switch is also called a micro switch I thought? ...at the shop I work at we called all TPS switches from every company "micro switches"
and sorry for the confussion.

NOS is a brand your right, and I feel like Zex, Venom, NOS, NX, are all good brands although I think the NOS brand sylenoids work best. IMO. I've had good results with the zex kit on the mustang I did, and the NX kit on the integra, and currently running a NX kit with NOS sylenoids, works great. Venom are nice but expensive, and not a huge fan of the sylenoids as they only work precise under perfect line pressure. NOS sylenoids seem to work well whether my bottle is cold or warm within +/- 200lbs. per. in. of its recommended room temperature pressure of 800lbs
