here is my recommendation for you...i would check on craigslist for a k24 motor which come off of the accord,tsx,etc. drop that in those motors have really nice torque. and if the swap is done right then go ahead and get it legally barred. it shouldnt be that expensive and then just peice out a turbo kit for it. i wouldnt wait **** california laws and besides im sure you can find someone that can pass the car anyways. some people up here charge 300.00 for a fixed smog with paperwork...so thats what you looking at where abouts you at in cali im in the bay area norcal
