i dont know it runs funny like when you floor it you hear like alot of air coming from somewhere my friend said it was the intake but its not it sounds like a turbo kind of but not.. and when the car is in neutral the rpm guage idles it goes up and down from between 1000 and 2000 constantly. it i think that there is a vacumm leak

Does sound like a vac leak. With an intake you'll hear air being sucked in and it'll be louder than stock, but it shouldn't sound like you have a turbo.

I would not suggest boosting on the Y5's head/intake manifold

For one the intake and exhaust ports on the y5 head are smaller than that of the y7/y8, second the cam is absolute **** for boost which I know your saying well just get a aftermarket one........wrong nobody offers a cam for the y5 head, regrind services will not touch em even. Third the intake manifold is junk. What it all boils down to is if you had a y7 equiped car and a y5 equiped car with the same setup, at the same boost levels, everything being equal. The Y7 would pull a good 5/6 more whp per psi of boost. I knew a guy with a boosted y7 with the greddy 19t kit and was only pushing 135whp on 8psi if that tells ya.

If you are going to do anything to the Y5 I would spray it with about a 75 wet shot
