how bout this

kylea24 08-16-2009 12:38 PM

those no name turbo's are no good and the oil lines can be good but i wouldn't risk it.
yea the greedy kits are good

Any no name kit wont be worth buying. There is no research done by the company so they can sell thier parts dirt cheap...because it costs them almost nothing to make. If they dont want thier name on it, you shouldnt want it on your car.

I'll post the same exact thing I just said on another thread talking about eBay coilovers. Same thing applies to turbos and related parts.

It's all a guessing game.

is this kit worth 1300? I know i'd need injectors, anything else for a 98 dx motor?

walbro fuel pump, a P06 ECU and OBD2a-OBD1 conversion harness, and a tune.

you'll also probably want a boost controller to turn up the boost higher (you would do this of course when you do the tune and leave the boost setting alone after the tune). Also recommended is a set of ARP head studs to prevent head lift, and depending on how much power you want to make, a stronger clutch.

You should also get a boost gauge and a turbo timer. Oh, and an oil pressure gauge to monitor your oil pressure because i'm pretty sure the Y7 is like the Y8 in the fact that the oil pump isn't that great.
