Anyone make a turbo for 06 SI yet?
Tein introduced a turbod SI, featured in the latest Super Street mag. Turboing the new SI is a pain though, lots of work involved. Tein used a custom made kit featuring a GT2835 turbo...they customized EVERYTHING though, from the downpipe to the exhaust dump. The fuel system has to be altered too, from a returneless delivery system to a system that willl actually return. They used RC 550's, and they had to customize the intake manifold so they could get the AEM fuel rail to fit......I think they used AEMS RSX fuel rail but still had to modify....... They also relocated the oil filter.............If u get this mag you can see how much fabrication they did for this..........Turboing this car will unleash lots of power, however I would sit back and wait for some big companies to get some R&D done before boosting it.......You could email GReddy and see how long its going to be until they release the kit..........or call em..........
I've been searching for kits myself....I seen a few cars that have prototype kits but nothing availible yet. I'm more interested in the Supercharger. Talked to Jackson and they said they have nothing in the works yet but to keep checking back.
did anyone else read about the turbo kit someone was making that placed the turbo in the back by the muffler? the magazine people installed one on a teggy and loved it. i know it sounds weird.... i'll try and find the article when i go home this weekend...
i just mentioned this because it sounds like a good idea for the weird new si's motor....

I would honestly think a turbo setup for a late RSX-S would fit but the SI's have like 11 to 1 compression and IMHO I would never put boost on that high of a c/r
Yea the point would be if you did not lower the compression you would blow it fast.
The K20 is a all motor engine though IMO and I would not want to take away from that, people are seeing 230 to 250whp with good tunes on stock block k20's, hell a stock one with bolt ons will pull anywhere from 200 to 215whp, add hondata kpro in there, a set of ITB's, and a good selection of high quality bolt ons and you have a damn fine running engine. The only alternative induction i would use is a small shot of n2o on the track but other than that I'd stay n/a with em.
