High compression didn't denote your motors. Poor tuning or insufficient fuel delivery did. Ask the shop what "injector duty cycle" was at after they tune it. That's usually the final limiting factor once all other parameters are taken care of.

I agree with that to an extent. BUT. I was running 10 psi on a high compression b16a2.
Yours blew right after you had it tuned, if I recall.

I just remember reading something like "Tuned by Carboy yada yada" in your signature.

Honestly I wouldnt run much boost on the C5 motor. Id go max of 5-6 lbs on a decent turbo. Unless you build the internals, the C5 is good for all motor applications. Youd be amazed what a good turbo and a measly 5lbs of boost would do with that engine, lots of power.......and the turbo would give you the torque you are missing.

Yea but Kedawei, the problem is a high compression motor with high boost equals major heat. I was spitting out 1,400 degrees out the back of my exhaust! I think its a little too easy for you to say a high boosted, highly compressed motor is a little too general. Especially since I have seen it first hand.

if you rebuild the motor then i would go the turbo route. if you are just looking for boost i would get a jackson racing supercharger and run like 5 psi because the kit is actualy ment for a b18c5

Well talk to a professional tuner. It may be "Safe" now, but if it blows are they going to replace it ? I doubt it.
