Default Basemap Tune

I just had my JDM D15B fully built in the machine shop, I also am putting my new 16G EVO III turbo in, I have a P28 ECU with a Chrome basemap for my setup.
My question is, is it safe to drive it for 2 weeks on the basemap? I wont be going full throttle and I will keep out of boost if that is reccomended until it goes on the dyno?

Should be if you stay in vacuum and dont drive to far. As long as your basemap is good.

if you have a wideband it will be much safer, and don't hammer on it at all. YOu should get it tuned ASAP, but if your A/F ratio is safe and you retard your timing a little bit, you might be okay to drive a little bit, but you definitely want to drive as least as you can.

i have an autometer air/fuel gauge, its no wide band but as long as its running on the rich side i think it should be ok just to school/work until my next check. im not going to be going into boost.

get a different car for a week the basemap will probably be freaking way to rich to run your car properly for a prolonged period of time

i haven't driven my car in like 2 or 3 weeks, i've been using a beater because i'm not tuned yet (and a few other problems, but the biggest thing is the tune).

I just straightened out my bent up downpipe and welded the new Magnaflow Cat Converter. Will it be fine to drive it with just the downpipe/cat on it until I bring it to the exhaust shop followed by the dyno?

Keep it outta boost and yea but it's gonna be loud as hell driving it around like that. I wouldn't drive it like that for 2 days MAX. Cops will harass you if you drive it a lot like that.
