Yeah I saw that too. he has the right part number down, but has the wrong numbers for duration on there. I would e-mail him just to make sure he will be sending the right on, I don't see why not though since they are all about the same price

from the crower website:
Advertised Duration: 312 / 318

Duration @ .050": 234 / 217

Gross Lift w/1.6 int/ w1.8ext: 430 / 427

e-bay:
Advertised Duration: 260 / 238

Duration @ .050": 222 / 200

Gross Lift w/ 1.6 int / 1.8 exh: 430 / 428

I have similar plans for my civic, but they will take alot longer (2-3 years). I wanna drop in a GSR motor this summer (if i can get the money to do it). Before i have it dropped in, im gonna have it sleeved with low comp pistons and forged (maybe titanium) rods. Soon after i plan to get the head P&P and get new cams, valves, springs, and retainers. The last part of the build is gonna be the turbo (not much info on this yet).

That's a good plan, but it will take a lot of money. I use to keep track of how much I spent on my cars, but it was too depressing. I try not to hink about it anymore.

I know its gonna be expensive as hell, hence the 3 year time frame. I'm thinking its gonna run me upwards of 12k, which really makes me think about if its worth it. It isn't that bad since im a senior in high school so i don't really spend money on anything (when i say i don't spend money, i really don't spend any money at all). But i do need to find a job pretty soon (looking at Murrays or AutoZone), and i go some side stuff going on for money.

For all the internals, probably a little over a thousand, and I'm getting it all installed and tuned by pros.

And I mean BIG. Pretty soon I'm gona start ordering all the supplies I need to beef up my engine. First, ARP studs to go in before I install the turbo. Then I'm installing the turbo, and I'm gona run the fuel management that came with it. Then I start ordering tons of stuff over the long period between now and the summer, when I'm gona install it all. The list includes Eagle H-Beams, SRP Pistons (low compression), Crower St. 2 cam, AEM EMS, Fluidyne radiator, Fuel Injectors (still haven't decided size yet), Wideband A/F, Exhaust system (still haven't decided yet, might get for Christmas), higher flowing fuel pump, *maybe* get the block sleeved, and various other small gadgets and gizmos. I'm going to install everything this summer (except exhaust which is hopefully sooner), and my final goal is in the 300hp range. Just thought I'd give you guys an update. 2 more weeks until turbo goes in!!
By the way, I had/have a very similar plan. I get the turbo this friday and will boost the stock motor. Now I think I will look for a D15b to build that up, but it is very hard to find parts for the block. As md420 mentioned pistons will probably have to be custom, and sleeves might have to be as well. I have yet to find info on that. Anyway, I don't want to build up the D16Y8 because I have read in several different sites about the oiling issue. If the d15b is too hard to build(parts wise) I will just end up with a D16Z6 block and build that. Anyways, keep us updated on your progress.

A senior in highschool, wow, it's been a few years for me since I was in high school. I was driving around in my little bucket back then,... lol. No just kidding, I was a big chevy guy back then with a couple of smallblock projects. I had a 79 camaro, then an 86 camaro. Both pretty fast, but what do you expect out of a V8 right? Now I have been dumping most of my money on my truck, a 2004 V6 Tacoma 4x4. I supercharged that thing and did all kinds of work to it. In all I think I have put about 10K into it, but I pretty much doubled the rwhp from 150 to 270-300 range. All with bolt ons and no internal work. It is running smooth at 10.5 psi with water/meth injection, headers, exhaust, and a lot of other goodies. The funnest part was the tuning.
