Default Boosting a D15B8?

I am contemplating boosting my 92 hatch with a D15B8. 70 horsepower, it's slow, trust me.
For the money, would I be better to just swap in a B16a2 for 3000ish and then somewhere down the road turbo it, or just turbo it now.
How much am I looking at for a 'decent' turbo kit. I say decent because I don't intend on racing persay, just need enough power to not be embarassed anymore on the streets. Since my car is a little flashy people love to show it up.
So, B16a2 now or turbo stock D15B8?

Pro's and con's would be nice too. Thanks a lot.

B16 is a lot of fun. Vtec kicks in. Indy car status. Turbo, eh... Id say get the B16 then save up. You'll have enough fun with vtec. Once you get sick of vtec you will have enough money for a turbo.

I would boost another D-series, such as a D16Z6 or JDM D15B, but that's just what I like.

The B16 is more efficient. But that's about it.

Yea, I was leaning towards the b16.. turboing a 70hp seems stupid now that I seen my post.
How do most of you guys go about ordering your engines, go to the shop and have them order it or order online.
If you guys could give me some good sites to order off of that would be great. (I'm from Canada so keep that in mind for shipping)
Also do I need anything else for the swap besides what the 'kit' comes with? I'm aware most kits don't come with the shift linkage and axles. Is that all I need?
Thanks

boost the d. all d series parts like manifolds are interchangable. so boost it nowand build up a nice z6 with forged everything then swap it in when its done. then retune with a lot of boost. it will make you happy

if you can shop around to get a deal it can cost you less than a b16 swap

How does this look for a complete swap?

I would just like to buy the B series to have the immediate power then if I need to upgrade and get a turbo.

That's ok, not everyone can handle a D.

Try these guys, they're in Canada.

It should. (Just make sure to get the OBD1 version.)
