On your VX, is the catalytic converter in front of the engine? If so, then I am pretty sure it the same as the HF manifold. The HF manifold is commonly used with an adapter plate so that you may bolt a turbo to it. You can't keep A/C this way though.

I believe the VX and HF manifold are the same, I have seen both used in turbo builds.

^good point. I completely forgot to bring this up.

1. you'd be ruining an amazing car's fuel economy

2. It's much more difficult to turbo the engine because it has VTEC-E.

3. The engine is not really a good one to turbo, power wise.

If you want turbo you are better off with a different car than a VX.

Cheap way is to get a used turbo from the junkyard and mount it in the rear of the car you can read info on sts website how it works.. That would be the easy way.... But like the moderator says why do you want to mess with a car that gets 55mpg?

I'm all for getting gas mileage, but first off, where i live its all backroads, not much city driving, and i work 5 miles from home, farthest i drive from home for anything is an hour, im close to everything, thats why i'm not too worried bout gas mileage. second power....ive had a couple boosted hondas, im dying for another one, this thing is lacking in power, i may swap the head out, i have a z6 head ready to be swapped, just wanted to try to run it on the z1 head and see if i could get power and gas mileage. the p07 ecu i have is chippable.

If you want power and on a budget i would go to picknpull... Or buy used parts off ebay and make them work....
