Default D16Y8 and boost

Can stock internals safely handle F/I to 180-200 hp?

werd, The more you look into f/i, the more you'll hear the phrase "It's all in the tune." Buy quality parts, install them properly, and bring your car to a reputable tuner, and you will have minimal headaches. You'll also have a potent little street sled on your hands.

180 to 200 are average numbers when boosting a stock D. Totally safe if done correctly.

I have a guy in Grand Rapids that is ****ing infamous for his street tuning skills. Every time I go to a meet, talk about my plans, I get asked the same question "Who's doing the tuning." And when I spit this guy's screen name off, everyone goes "yup, that's the way to go" So, yeah. He's very fairly priced, and I'm sure for a few extra bucks he could travel.

Unless you're talking about dyno tuning, in which case the previous paragraph is useless.
