generally speaking, youre right, but this question is the key. honda autos dont take to a whole lot of extra abuse. and since most of these guys (esp the ones asking about turbos) dont drive like theyre driving Miss Daisy, their trannys are probably already wearing a bit, so the extra power will just wear them quicker. honda manual trannys have enough problems with weak synchros, its jsut not worth making it worse by trying to do anything too serious with an auto. though if all you want is to drop a turbo on it, and maybe a couple of bolt-ons to have a quick DD, then by all means, go for it. it should work pretty well on normal street levels of boost.

 

ok ya that kind sound like i want to do cuz i just want a turbo on my civic to make it more fun cuz it is my first car. i probly wont have it for to long anyways. so i think ill just bolt on a turbo and mayby some other stuff and call it good

my mechanic said he was willing to do a 5speed swap for $400-500! Parts not included that is, but thats not a prob. When I boost, Im aiming for about 200WHP, so when the auto goes, Ill be ready.

 

Thats it? Im going to sleeve, and make bulletproof so my boost gauge is almost maxed out.
