Default dump valves

hi just wanting 2 get some info on dump valves how they work/the different makes and sizes and also how 2 fit them thanks

whats a dump valve? are you talking about oversized valves(head) or a wastegate valve(turbo manifold)?

I think he's probably talking about a wastegate dump (considering this is in nitrous/turbo/sc), but that's just a guess

According to wikipedia, it's something similar to a BOV[&:] But, I think he might be refeering to a wastegate or a dump tube??

according to wiki it is used in older turbo charged cars.

you would be better off going with a BOV or wastegate valve

sorry i mean a bov which is fitted on thepiping between the intercooler and the throttle bodie to relieve boost when u come off the gas. sorry for the confusion it is also known as a dump valve over in the uk thaks

just wondering what car youre running (if it has a stock turbo) or if your car is boosted and whats your setup. OR are you someone who wants to "be cool" and get a bov for your N/A engine?

ha ha know i dont want to b cool just want to go fast i hav a 1996 civic coupe with a di16z6 vtec engine in. me and my mate r planning to turbo it
