Default Electric Supercharger????

Has anybody heard of E-Ram? It's supposed to be an electric supercharger or something.

Don't know how to place links yet but the website address is http://www.electricsupercharger.com/.

Any opinions? The guy at the muffler shop was telling me about this. What do you guys think?

What is it with guys at muffler shops giving bad advice?

This thread will be locked as soon as a mod sees it so I suggest you do a search for them on here. There are plenty of old posts and responses/arguments about these things.

Too lazy to search? OK thats fine. Here ya go...........................ERAM is a piece of $hit. Its a K&N "STYLE" filter with a 12V fan into it. Last time i checked the fan that comes inside amplifers doenst create 2 PSI of boost. Its a waste of money and wont do anything for you. Youre better off getting a cold air intake and a throttle body spacer.

Hahahah. If you look on their site, they have a 1 psi version and a 1.7 psi version. That is such freakin crap. A little electric fan isn't going to be able to pump nearly enough air into your engine to have any effect at all. Especially when you get into the higher rpms where just blocks the airflow rather than increases it.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I already have the short ram intake but leave it to me to ask him about performance. I asked him about headers and he said forget about it and go with the e-ram. I figured I'll ask you guys to see.

And you guys are right, there were other posts about this elsewhere. Next time I'll do a search.

Normally, I research on the net about performance and ask the local shops. More times than not, they bs you. That's how I know not to go with them.

Thanks for letting me know.

Please don't get an ERAM. That is plain scary how they can sell those things.

You'd be better off buying a hamster and a hamster wheel........more power!
