Default Extra oil for turbo setup?

Hey guys another question. Didn't know which section for this question, someone can move it if it's the wrong one. I was wondering how much oil I will need to use after my turbo setup is complete. Do I still use the standard 4 quarts, or will I need to add more to compensate for the turbo needing oil all the time? Thanks!

I always add a little bit more, almost a half a quart. Ya gotta figure.....there is most likely oil stting in the turbo itself, and ya got the turbo oil lines too.

Yes. I also use royal purple full synthetic......DJ your turbo is lubed with the oil, and DYNO oil will cook at the temps turbos reach.

Whats DYNO oil? And what the deal with oil coolers? My teacher was telling me that getting an oil cooler is a good idea when getting a turbo. I get that you gonna need to cool the oil otherwise your gonna cook it. How hard of a job is it to install an oil cooler? I'm guessing its gotta be a harder job since nobody is posting about it.

Dyno oil is just regular oil (comes from T-rex's.) I've heard of really powerfull cars running oil coolers (Bugatti has one.) I doubt it's a necessety in a Civic but prolly wouldn't hurt.

Bugatti's got like 4. What I'd do (what I will be doing) is put your 4 quarts in, plus a little bit, and start the car. Then shut the car when you are sure the turbo and lines are filled with oil, then check ur dipstick and add oil till it's at the right level.

^ I think only one is for the oil, it has a massive amount of radiators and intercoolers though. I'll peek at the Top Gear ep. and find out.

OK, Mr. Clarkson says it has 10 radiators:

3 for the engine
3 for the turbos
1 for the axle oil
1 for the engine oil
1 for the hydraulic fluid for the wing

which makes 9... Top Gear error!
