Default Good bye higher compression

I think I am convinced I should just forget about N/A and run a turbo and nitrous combination. Maybe a T3/T4 7psi with intercooler and a ZEX wet kit 55 shot. Goodbye 14's, hello 13's.

before you go into thinking you can turbo the car, i would research a lot until you make your decision. i researched for half a year until i started buying my parts for my turbo and i am still learning now. just ask anyone here and they will tell you the same thing.

I think at 9.1:1 compression and only using the 55 shot for the 1/4mi track it would be safe, especially only running a turbo at 6 or 7psi. I'd just have to retard the intake CAM timing gear back 1 or 2 degrees and the exhaust CAM timing gear 2 or 3 degrees. Plus I would be running copper plugs and probably only 10 or 11 degrees of spark up top. I was thinking about running midgrade 90octane with the 10%eth and a can of octane boost, that would put me at about 91 to 92octane. There is nothing higher than 90 octane where I am at.

What engine, and are you building it?

Boost + Nitrous is some serious stuff, stock engines don't like that combo.

Oh, and I wouldn't bother using nitrous unless you're looking for mid 10s.

why use nitrous when you can just get a larger turbo (or a better one)?

adding nitrous to a turbo car is kinda redundant.
