just wondering how much hp could be expected from just this base bolt on greddy Turbo kit.. not including extra parts.. BoV/FMU,IC or even boost controller.. just stock plug and play.. what kinda of numbers would u be looking at on a stock 99-00 civ si with just I/H/E??

ahh glad ur on Marty.. cuz i was gonna elaborate more.. im basically just comparing S/C Turbo vs cost.. but Greddy doesnt offer Dyno figured like Jackson racing does.. so 2600 for 170-180 whp.. vs 2100 for 190whp..so supercharger would deff be better cost/vs hp ratio until i hit like around 220-230 whp??

No because you are comparing apples to oranges. The base greddy kit is like the.....well.....most basic kit you can get. You add a $200 intercooler, fuel management, and a good wg and you are ready to make what ever the B will hold which is around 280 to 300whp stock. The thing you have to look at is not the short run it's the long run. 190whp sounds all fun and great and it is and will be for a while but then what are you gonna do? The JRSC'er sounds alot better than it really is. Your going to go a max of around 230 to 240whp with it on high boost and to me this is just not a wise way to go because by the time you get to those numbers your at the same price as the turbo with additions added on to it that will let you go higher with the power.

Then there is the custom turbo route, a $2500 turbo set up that you put together on your own will kill a greddy kit and I am not going to even start on the jrsc. Ask Remmy, he took a ride in Pete's car and that is a SOHC on low boost with a automatic and a pre-tuned greddy blue box. That brings me to another thing, with the greddy kit you get e-manage which is not the best in the world but tons better than what jackson racing offers untill you get to the expensive add-ons with hondata.

i was also thinking about tuning issue.. our tuner shops as i posted a few times before all shut down.. we have no shops that work on imports.. Jeff Evans is in the state but it is heck of a drive for any time i would want to make a change.. also with turbo i have seen a dual stage boost controller.. is this as easy and cheap as it sounds to just have to preset ratings.. one for like 6psi daily driver and then flip a switch and be at 15-20 psi for race?.. i mean like actual tuned preset settings.. thanks again for info..

would the edelbrock be better than the greddy for a daily driver?
