Greddy Type S vs. HKS SSQV
I had a GReddy type S and got sick of it. When youre not really hitting boost and you let off of the throttle it sounds like one of those plastic straws being blown thru. Id say for for the HKS SSQ with the purple insert.
I have a Forge BOV and I can't hear it at all when I lightly let off gas...it's really made to serve the purpose of liquidating ait out of the charge piping. A sound is generated when there's a restricting in the path of the moving air...what do we do with restrictions in our exhause for example? We get rid of them....why does this have to be different?
The purpose of a BOV is to prevent compressor surge, right? To do that it evacuates air out of your charge piping when the throttle plate slams shut.Judging a BOV by the sound it makes is just like judging an exhaust by sound, not performance. Ever tried blowing a whistle? There's resistance to the air you're trying to blow through. Than you blow through a straw, and there's less resistance. The sound of the air escaping in a BOV and a whistle is caused by some sort of distruption in flow which means the device is less effective in moving air through it, but it just sounds cool cause of the distruption in flow. All I'm trying to say is that there's a purpose behind a BOV and it is not primarily to show-off.

Good luck blowing motors!
im not goin to blowa motor i know how a bov make the whistle sound im just asking which one do you guys prefer because every bov has there own unique sound ened if the air restrition is the same so just chill
