hey im new here.....i was wondering if putting a turbo in a automatic civic would be ok? a T3/T4 turbo? pls. i need suggestions. fast. thanks

 

you can but i would swap to a manual tranny first.

 

One of our members Pete, had a turbo on his automatic d16 for over year without any problems. Although his engine blow up, it wasn'st because of the transmission.

 

I can see your point i just meant to say swap it because autos are pretty slow when shifting, he could get more out of the turbo if he switched to M/T

 

oh cares turbo it....even though its an auto im sure it will put down some power...although there not as much fun, i guess it would be personal preference. U can always hook compture chips an programs to the auto tranny am makin em hella fast

 

A turbo auto is much more fun than a stock auto.

i just wanna make around 230 hp....what else can i do to it? i was thinking T3/T4 turbo with intercooler kit....im not sure tho =/

 

You might be able to get it up there with a good tune, but you will also want bigger injectors, BOV, many other things that will help get the car to where you want it to be
