This is a pretty noob question but I mean how do you race with nos, do you press it when you need it(like at what speed),like in the movies or do you keep your han on the button during the whole race.

 

just go with a turbo if ur so worried....

 

put it on a wide open throttle switch (thats how most systems are designed) then you dont quite floor it when you launch in first, just enough throttle to get you rolling with traction, then floor it and it will kick on. sometimes you will need to learn to wait till 2nd gear to hit it, or you will have huge traction problems.

 

buttons are old school

Now you arm it and then when the gas is floored it is spraying and when you let off the gas it stops. This way you arent spraying into the motor unless you are actually accelerating, so you wont pop the motor during shifting. Other then that it is pretty much the same way you drive normally.


It isnt like in the movies, where everything get blurry and your head is slammed into the seat and the car just starts burning out on the freeway at 60

 

does it have any bad effect on the car, as in using nitrous

 

As with any mod done incorrectly or abused, yes. As I understand it, it can make your engine too HOT when not done right. Get a turbo, you never have to refill it.

 

Just about any and everything you do to your car that adds power takes away from the reliability and lengevity. Now you have to decide if its worth it.

 

so whats the best turbo for a civic then?

 

Id have to say greddy or eddelbrock. But keep in mind that will also shorten the life of you engine too. You gotta pay to play tough.
