I was wondering how much boost i can run w/ a zc sohc, basically stock. has your average upgrades: intake, exhaust,catback and soon a intake mainifold and throttle body. I found a kit for the zc, but was wondering how much boost i can run w/ out doing any internal building. Thanks for the input.

Depends on what size turbo. Could be anywhere from 6 to 10 safely.

With a T3/T-04, you could probably get away with 7 or 8 reliably on a good tune. It's a fairly big turbo as Civic kits go though, so think high spooling. I'd contact 97civicturbo about it, since I believe that's the same kit he got (or close to it). I've been helping him put his motor back in on a couple occasions, and they definitely have some fitment/parts issues.

 

you can run as much boost as you want just as long as it is tuned good

ive learned that tuning is the key thing with turbos

 

That's a little too broad to be true, but it's the right idea...

 

lol ok sorry kappa you can run like 9 psi on stock internals and still be fine if you have it tuned good
