ok for a wile now i have been tossing up diferent ideas... turbo, k20 swap, or n20... i have come to the conclusion that will best suit my wallet, and driving skills. i want to go with a turbo. reason is, i only have 53k on the engine. no point in wasting a new engine. and n20 seems a little more dangerouse than a turbo. and there is no supercharger availible for my car. so turbo it is...

now, anyone got a good recomendation of a good turbo for my 01 ex?

Get a Banks custom turbo and intercooler.

 

What kind of money do you have to spend?

A T3 would spool faster, but a T3/T4 would give you more top end and a good mix of wind up time.

Personally, Ive got my eye on a Garrett GT40.

 

T28 on a stock D17

 

i have a 2.5 catback on right now... and im looking to spend 5K after propertuning and such. i think it should be more than enough

 

WOW. 5k will definitely get you an amazing set up. You could get a really nice custom turbo for that much cash.

There more that I think about it though, the T28 keeps sounding better and better. I retract my previous statement. +1 T28.

 

if you wanna dump another 3-5k into it, you could get forged internals and a full race stage 4 turbo setup
