Default i need help

i have a b18c5so i have a dilemma i can buy a supercharger with everything needed with 800 miles on itand be boosted for $700, or i can buy a turbonetics ball bearingturbo 200mileson itwith downpipe for $400 but have to piece together the rest of the turbo kit which should i do? and about how much boost would i be able to push on a bone stock c5 it has 11.1:1c/r i have been told anywhere from 6-10psi on a turbo and 10-14 on a jrsc would be safe is that true

A high compression engine like yours i'd say just use that money for an N/A build,as i hear they do not like boost much, but with either one you will make power, the Turbo would more likely give more power, but you would spend more after piecing it together.

yea i figure i will spend about a grand total if i buy the turbo. and if i turbo i am gonna buy skunk2 pro 1 cams and full valvetrain. and possibly sell my itr pistons and buy lower compression pistons and loose 10hp to gain about 120whp so i think i might.

I thought skunk2 had turbo-grind cams, too? And congrats on the turbo/downpipe purchase

*edit: you'll need (off the top of my head and in no particular order)
-to do a compression test to make sure your piston rings are in good condition (all cylinders should be within 10% of each other)
-turbo manifold
-oil line kit
-new spark plugs (one step colder... I've also heard that it's a good idea to buy several sets, since the tuner will probably foul out a few sets when tuning the engine)
-wastegate (if your turbo is not internally-gated)
-if your turbo is internally-gated, maybe get a boost controller so you can raise (but not lower) the boost?
-intercooler
-charge piping
-silicone couplers/t-bolt clamps
-air filter
-blowoff valve
-guages (oil pressure and boost for sure)
-high(er)-flow injectors
-fuel management

Unless you know someone that can tuned really good, i highly recommend that you get lower compression pistons.

Wait... you bought a B18C5 and now want to get lower compression pistons so you can boost it? Why didn't you just get a C1 when you swapped???

He probably has new goals. When i bought my car, I never had any intentions in modifying it... now 2 years later i'm rocking a snail. I'm pretty sure that eventhough I say that i'm done modding it, in a few months I'm going to want more POWA!![&:]

because i was gonna do an n/a build but that cost too much money and you dont get as much hp as turbo. and im not even gonna drive it after i put the setup on i am going to trailer it to houston and get it tuned. ohh and im getting s200 possibly s300. and i am only going to run at most 8psi. and the only difference in the block between the itr and the gsr is high comp pistons. but the head is a total different story different cast different cams itr has a mild pnp and has a better intake than a gsr. but yes i ****ed up royally i spent 4500 on the swap for just a stock c5 when i could have swapped a gsr for 2500 and then put cams for 400, springs and retainers for 600, and turbo for a 1000. and smoke a stock itr for the same price. but i wasnt gonna build the c5 i was gonna buy a gsr block and a b16b (ctr)because it has the same cast a my itr and fully build and boost that and just swap the two out and put the c5 in like an ef8 or 1987 crx but that costs alot of dough and thats something i aint got right now. but i got the turbo and down pipe sitting next to me right now i will take some pictures tomorrow. (she is so beautiful) lol
