Intercooler on Stock engine

Quick one... I dont know what intercoolers do but they look cool. Can you put one on a completely stock 04 Civic LX? It is for looks only but would it work?

[sm=badidea.gif] intercoolers are for turbocharged cars. They allow the hot charged exhaust gasses coming from the turbine pass thru the intercooler, and it cools the air substantially before it enteres the engine.
