I've searched but could not find.
hey guys and gals,
as some of you may know i am totally a noob to all of this stuff. ive been checking out these forums for a couple of months now and i am interested in doin an i/h/e setup for my car... but then i started thinkin about the SC and turbo. i have searched for a while now and i could not find a scenario that fits mine. everyone who has posted about their SC or turbo has usually done a lot of other modifications to their cars beforehand...
my scenario... everything completely stock... im probably never going to do any racing at all (whether at te strip or on the streets)... i just want something cool to show off to my friends as well as the self gratification of knowing and feeling the power that i have put into my car. in other words... mainly to show off (and cool sounds that it can make), and knowing that i can go somewhat faster than stock... i usually drive 70 miles to and from work everyday so most of my driving is on the freeway... however it is L.A. traffic for more than half the time...
so i guess my question(s) is/are...
what would be better for my scenario?
how much would it cost? (on a semi-low budget but willing to invest a little)
what benefits would i see by going the suggested route?
with either set up can i still do an intake and exhaust?
or would it just be better for me to stick with the intake and exhaust... and possibly header later on down the line?
any input is greatly appreciated beforhand... and thanks to anyone who has already or who will be helping me with their opinions... this forum has helped me out a lot...you guys are great... thanks!

I think you should get a zex nitrous kit. Cheap for the power you gain if you know how to use it and you can still do intake header and exhaust. If you want cool show then get a purge kit and put the nitrous bottle in a place you can show it off. Zex also makes a "machine gun" purge kit its pretty interesting sound.
i forgot to mention that my car is an automatic
how much would it cost to get the nitrous installed?
can i do it myself?
how much does it cost to replace/refill the nitrous?

If it is an auto i would get a torque converter from ZEX. Installing it will be your decision because I don't know how confident you are in the engine bay but I think you would have to be half retarded if you can't do it yourself (lol no offense to anyone that can't) go to ZEX.com, they have a walk through install for all their systems. I think it is pretty simple. I can't remember but I think refills are like $20 for a 10lbs tank. Maybe 40, I can't remember for sure plus every place will have a different price.
But IMHO I don't think you should put nitrous on an auto and to do it right I would get something to retard timing by 2* and 2 step colder spark plugs, safety rpm window switch.
Do the i/h/e first and while you are doing that you will become fimiliar with your engine bay plus you can do some reading up on forced introducing to decide what YOU want to do and know how to do it.
Here is a good read: http://www.d-series.org/forums//showthread.php?t=9245
Also this book is a great thing to read: This

thanks for the help... ill probably stick with just the i/h/e... aem sri cause i want the louder sound compared to the cai... if not ill just get the cai andremove the tube toswitch back and forth between the both of them... and an evoII for the exhaust... and im looking into some rims... 5 spokes black or red... or both... like i stated i just want something to show off ... something noticeable... and from what im hearing everyone is saying that a sc produces a very nice sound... but i think it's too much for me ($)... it would be nice to have a sc or turbo though...
