Default my mission in life hehe

Alright I have a mission, merely because someone told me it was stupid and that i just swap out the engine. I want to build a 1 bar street legal turbo'd d16y6. I'm tired of all of the crap from people telling me the only option is a swap. I have a few ideas but most end in a question mark cuz i don't know how legit the ideas are.
-One is rebuild the block with crower rods the block and crank blueprinted and balanced. APR studs, srp 9:1 pistons, crower d16 cam turbo application. aftermarket head gasket. engine block guard, polyurethane mounts, Greddy TII catback.
Now where the real questions begin.
Should I build the turbo diy style, or use something like the greddy kit as a base system. How big is too big on the fmic? I also plan to throw on accessory pulleys, aem cam gear for tuning reasons.
What about fmu?
I have an A/M so when I do the swap how should i build the m/t? I know the A/T is only good for about 200 whp and i don't want my throttle response to be a mixture of pops, sprays, and general armeggedon of the mechanical kind.
I do have to keep in mind I'm a 97 4dr sedan, and a i have a 8psi turbo'd b16 hatch to atleast to keep up with if not surpass. I have been praying to the lord of vtech but have had no intense revelations so.....

You could do it cheaper if you bought the parts seperately instead of doin a kit.

d16y6?

You mean d16y7 right. I will advise you to get a 92-95 d16z6 block for the build because the d16y5/7/8 (96-00) all have oiling issues that result in spun rod berrings after prolong use under high performance applications

It dont really matter, the Y5, Y7, and Y8 all used the exact same bottom end which like I said has oiling issues. If you have a Y8 then just find a old d16z6 or D16A6 bottom end to build then do headwork to the Y8 head.

Good luck and if you need any help LMK man
