Default NEED HELP ---> Downpipe Dimensions

I found a couple of shops in my area that will fabricate a downpipe. Only catch is that they all want a template with dimensions and angles before they even START to make one. Anyone have a pic AND can get dimensions for a '96 Civic Hatch (CX if it makes much difference) D16Y5, for a T3/04 turbo!!!!! I would be very VERY happy!!! haha!!! And PLEASE don't tell me to eBay and look for it or find a pic online! THANK YOU!!!!

Depends what kind of manifold you're using, and which direction you position the turbo. Mine was positioned exhaust side facing towards driver side, so I needed a 180* bend and a 90* bend. If you have your exhaust side facing the pass side, you'll probably only need 180* of piping.

Mock it up and start measuring, it's the only way you're going to get accurate numbers. If there were set dimensions, it'd be a lot easier for us Honda guys to get DP's, and you wouldn't be here asking this question

haha, I hear ya man, I looked for the "easy street" method in this situation for a while too before I realized it was a lost cause.

Good luck though man, I'm sure you'll get er all figured out

Yeah, aren't fabricators supposed to... well... fabricate?

I wonder if you bought the piping and gave it to them if they'd weld it up for you. They're probably asking so that they don't order any extra metal.

burner700, yer sayin' to install the kit and drive it down there with everything installed except the downpipe and have them figure out how to connect point A to point B? I thought about it...You think there would be any problems with that? Other than it being loud as HELL for about 25 minutes? I would guess that it wouldn't HURT anything, since it's just the exhaust side of the system, right?

I installed my turbo kit with everything except the downpipe and drop about 45 minutes to the custom fabricator. just make sure you have a filter on the compressor side. nothing should get in the exhaust side because its pushing air out..

make sure you do have some gas in the car because you arnt gonna have an 02 sensor hooked up so dont push the car hardly at all. baby it there, the car is gonna probably run rich because with the 02 sensor just hanging there its gonna sense to much 02 and rich in it up

Internal or external wastegate? And what will you be running for fuel management?
