Default Need help with TURBO goin out!

I got a 99 SI with turbo. I don't know much about cars and all, but I had it for about a year now and i can really feel the power of it kickin it and all that kick back when you really step on it. I had it in my garage and haven't drove it for 2 weeks now and I go to drive it and I just couldn't feel the "kicking back" feeling no more. It feels just like a stock B16. I asked some of my guys and they said that once you get used to it, you can't really feel it no more. And maybe that it's a dead turbo. Or that maybe I just needed a tune-ups. I noticed that there was some sort of grease or something by the blow off valve right on the metal of the hood. What could be going wrong? And where's all my power goin at? Somebody's gotta help me out here. ANything would be appreciated from a honda enthusiast to another.. Thanks.

Can you still hear the BOV and the turbo spooling? Do you have a wideband to know what the a/f ratio is like?

if you can hear the BOV then the turbo has to still be spooling because otherwise there would be no pressure to cause the BOV to let out air

spooling is when the turbo starts compressing air, because it has gotten to the rpms where it can spool

maybe you are leaking somewhere in the charge pipe which would cause there to be less pressure than before, or you're leaking in the manifold which would cause the turbo not to be producing as much power as it would if there wasn't a leak

lol, did this guy say "Im not sure what spooling is"??????

oh NOES!!!!

like the boys said, have one of your mechanic friends look at all your couplars and clamps, because im almost for certain you wont fix the problem if you dont know what spool up is on a turbo.

not trying to be mean but maybe you should do some reading...
