Alot of them dont even need intercoolers because the length of the piping coupled with it running in fresh air under the car gets rid of alot of the heat. Actually it is not a bad setup for any car because a turbo's number one enemy is heat and when you are taking a majority of the heat from the manifold/engine bay and not putting the turbo right in the middle of it it is actually very helpfull. You can run a meth/water injection kit in place of the intercooler.

This was a car at Synergy in Fremont at the Vette Dyno day I went to a while back. it made an easy 500WHP on about 5 psi. not a bad system at all. and i believe this one had the system they were working on to make the turbo pre-spool. it actually made 2 psi at idle. and thats with no electronic devices, just enginerring the exhaust flow.

and FWIW, those are 2 t25s.

If you look at the kit posted the turbo was just after the oil pan, you'd probably still need an intercooler of some sort to be on the safe side. The rear remote mounts however don't, all that piping is exposed to a lot of air.

I have two big problems with the system. There's no room for a filter, and it's easily accessible to theives.[&:]

I know someone with this type of set-up on a Camaro. She picked up 101rwhp @ 5.5psi. Reportedly little to no lag. Not bad.
